RentalBoatSafety.com Appearance on Bob’s No Wake Zone

RentalBoatSafety.com appears on Boating Safety Radio Show to raise awareness of the free safety materials being offered by the U.S. Coast Guard for Rental Boat Customers.

With the launch of official boating season just days away, rental boat liveries are gearing up for an increase in rental boat customer traffic for the summer months.

As noted in recent news articles, safety concerns for rental boat customers is becoming increasingly on the mind of many rental organizations, recreational boaters, and authorities. RentalBoatSafety.com, through the support and backing of the U.S. Coast Guard, offers a free product to specifically address the safety issues related to rental boat users on the waterways.

RentalBoatSafety.com, was recently highlighted on “Bob’s No Wake Zone Radio Show” based in Missouri. Melanie Bedogne, Program Manager for RentalBoatSafety.com was interviewed about the resources offered through the U.S. Coast Guard on RentalBoatSafety.com.

The video-based online materials provided by RentalBoatSafety.com include boat-specific training and cover such topics as basic navigation rules, general safe operating procedures, towing, lifejacket wear, and refraining from use of alcohol while boating. These materials serve as a brief, yet comprehensive refresher course for nonfrequent boaters. All of the materials, including videos, are offered in English and Spanish.

In addition to the videos, RentalBoatSafety.com provides downloadable checklists, in-house training materials, and a 25-question assessment, which provides a “certificate” upon successful completion.

Rental Boat Liveries can also register online to receive a free DVD for in-house training at their operation.

Rental training materials specific to PWC's, Canoes, and Kayaks are currently in production and are scheduled for release by the launch of boating season 2012.
